I am in same situation. As of yesterday, my previous employer would have revoked my 140.
I already sent the AC21 letter, there are no LUDs. My attorney says, chances that the letter may not go into the file are high and the reason we send AC21 paperwork is to keep a record that we sent. I took a screen shot of the DHL tracking info too.
Any ideas how to ensure that AC21 paperwork is getting into your file.
The answers I see on this forum is
(1) USCIS is overwhelmed with documents so mail can be trashed
(2) USCIS clerk does not know how to handle the paperwork
(3) USCIS certifying officer is not well educated about AC21

As long as you sent it by certified mail and have the return receipt, if it does not make into your file and if later they issue an RFE, you have covered your base. As long as your new job satisfied the AC21 parameters and you have the certified mail receipt, you are fine. Relax and enjoy new job.

I cant tell you how much i was moved by the momentum that got generated during the 'black' weekend before christmas. One can tell the excitement and enthusiasm among the sufferers in this community. I wholly appreciate the efforts taken in setting up this site and following up on the issues. We need to generate the same kind of membership as we saw during that weekend.
One question i have and many others like me would be interested in knowing is a clear description on how the money collected will be spent. I understand by reading your posts that it will be totally transparent and will be detailed out every week. But its more important for people to know before hand on how and why money is needed, before they can open up their purses generously. Also please take this question in a positive attitude as more people would know the actual reasons.

i really appreciate and applaud what you and other members of immigration voice and other pro-imigration groups have done but for personal reasons i believe that fighting the congress is a losing battle and i sincerely doubt if we'll have any pro-immigration bill passed before the 2008 presidential election and when the new president comes this will fall att the bottom of his/her agenda. Look at Bush's tenure he's promised pro-immigration measures since 2004 and squat has happened. The issue is that there a lot of anti- legal and illegal immigration activists and congress members who will make sure nothing goes thru the senate or the house.

By "those people" I mean the people that come to the forums only to either track which mail room boy signed for a package, or argue about who bad the inactivity of movement on a Priority Date movement would be.
"Those people" are not here to contribute, they aren't here to help anyway. They aren't interested in meeting their lawmakers, or attending a rally.
In all honesty, "those people", who are busy tracking not predicting probably don't give 2 hoots about bulletins anymore, they are content with 10 years of EAD / AP renewals but doing nothing to change that.
Its a gross generalization, of course, but I apologize if people took that as offensive. Sometimes the truth is a little annoying.
I was working at the rally for 4 days, and was checking the forums in my spare time still. Those tracking threads sure looked very active throughout the whole thing, despite a comparative hand full of IV members were working very hard to actually make change.

What are the conditions required for processing the 485 application.
1. Are all applications which have a 485 RD within the processing date, are processed? or
2. Only applications which have a RD within the processing date and whose PD is current, are processed.
As per the uscis approvals it was all happening randomly,,sometimes they stick with rules and sometimes not..ofcourse PD should be current but ProcessingDates vs 485 RD its still stands a mystery.

Nurses are part of EB. This nill has many benefits. More nurses will be out of greencard queue leaving others more chance. US has acute nurses shortage. It is well documented. There is not much shortage of IT professionals . Unemployment is so high. But nurses are in demand and it is important for the healthcare of the nation. As if things weren't enough complex, today my friend told me one more thing about finger prints. His PD is 2004 Sep EB2, so he called USCIS to know the status of his application. Then they told him that his finger prints got expired (as per them they expire after every 15 months). So they will invoke the notice to get him an appointment for finger prints. They also mentioned if finger prints have expired then they can't process the application unless it gets renewed.
Although this is first hand information, I was very surprised and not sure whether or not to believe the information given by USCIS call center.
The information that my attorney gave me was on similar lines. From what she told me its a good sign that I got my biometric appointment for next month when my PD is current. You never know, its USCIS.

No matter which person we will go with, I think that we need to verify person's story before congress testimony. Not that I do not trust people, but we need to make sure that every detail is accurate; otherwise we risk of being called "liars" by the numbersusa. If the USCIS cashes the checks and then returns the packets (total $1490 in my case), is there any legal recourse to get a refund from them? Since they are pretty much doing whatever they want, this thought just occurred to me.

I am facing same issue....need to get some money back from India....and there is no way i can get it officially without losing significant part of it. It is really illogical to send money to India for property investment just because we cannot get money back.....I am repenting doing that....
Whenever I ask my friends to do this favor to me.....all they say is they dont have money to send India (since they dont want to disclose their worth to me) or they dont want to send money to India since they know it is useless to send money at such a bad conversion rate.
If you can find some better way, let me know too.
open a nri account here in india with your dad as a second name to it in a bank like hsbc which is there both in india and usa....then you or your dad dcan deposit money in that account...then anybody can withdraw after that. ...Second your dad can gift you a certain amount by converting rs to dollars in india and getting american express travelers check and sending it to you,....

not to be pessimistic, nov 3 is really close and I am thinking it may not happen. Here is what i have done and am planning to do..my recd date is july 30th and my travel agent is nov 21st.
1) already expedited the cases by phone.
2) just faxed the letter to local congressman.
3) have an infopass appt for the end of the month.
4) have a letter ready for the ombudsman, will send it right away after the infopass appt.
Doing all this, i am still not sure if I can make it to this trip or lose $1800 by cancelling my tickets.
