Novak Djokovic Tennis Championships Singles Champion Become the World

After winning the Grand Slam series tennis tournament at Wimbledon last Sunday, the Serb Novak Djokovic confirmed as world number one today. Based on the latest rankings issued by the ATP on Monday, Nadal beat Djokovic in the second position.

Djokovic Nadal ending the domination of the world 's number one position for 56 weeks, since taking over the top ranking from Roger Federer on June 7, 2010. Since Andy Roddick who occupy the world number one on January 26, 2004, no other player, but Nadal and Federer could occupy the top rank.

" This is a remarkable achievement reached their peak, especially with competitors like Rafa and Roger, " said Djokovic, who became the 25th player since the rating system began in 1973 as world number one and became the first Serbian tennis player who occupies that position, so AFP reported.
