A slightly reverse this trend, Toshiba Satellite L730 is decked out in white plastic. Toshiba technically called "Luxe White," if you are the type of person who is obsessed with traces of paint. If you are looking for a completely portable option 13-inch notebook, this probably is not.

Under all that white plastic is an Intel Core i5 2410M 2.3 GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and a 640 GB hard drive 5400 RPM. Toshiba provides a DVD SuperMulti Double Layer optical and three USB 2.0 ports and an SD card slot for expansion of the media. VGA and HDMI video delivery options. The marketing copy refers to a high definition display, but the unit only comes with a screen of 1366x768 pixels, maybe this is a version of "high definition" that has not previously been aware. Moreover, there is a notebook price premium, so a slightly lower definition is not too much of a shock. On the network side, Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi compatible.
On the software side, Toshiba Satellite L730 Windows 7 ships with Home Premium. A good set-touch-unpacking we have pointed to the satellite L730 is that it offers the option of using versions of 32-bit or 64-bit operating system, although if you opt for 64-bit version - and should - have wait a slow as you rebuild your operating system before. Apart from the operating system pre-installed Toshiba ConfigFree also, Eco Utility, Microsoft Office 2010 Starter (60 days), Norton Internet Security 2011 (trial version), Norton Online Backup Utility, Toshiba Media Controller, Toshiba PC Health Monitor, Toshiba Toshiba Recovery Media Creator and Resolution + utilities. On a scale of bloatware, this is not a burden too heavy to bear. In terms of what Toshiba Satellite L730 hypes everything + resolution allows up-scaling of video played through Windows Media Player, while Media Controller allows streaming media to compatible devices.
Performance
The i5 running the Satellite L730 is an equipment reasonable, but not stellar, and played on the benchmark results. They scored a healthy 6556 in PCMark05, and a respectable 3639 on 3DMark06, which is not bad for a unit of execution in Intel HD graphics solution.
