I spent a large portion of my time in a week by watching lots of TV series. Some of my favorites would be American Idol, The Biggest Loser and Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC). All which involved singing, reducing weight and dancing respectively, and the fact that I can’t sing (the glass will shatter as my voice hit the shrieking highest note, seriously), the biggest I have been was around 58 kg (128 pounds) and I pretty sure I don’t know how to dance, always bedazzled me on why do I love so much watching these three shows. Unlike The Big Bang Theory or CSI where I can relate with my background education in biology, chemistry and physic, I have no passion in singing or dancing and I have no intention of losing any weight at this moment.
Nevertheless, these shows spark hopes and dreams to me and I believed, many of us in the world. Thank Thanks to the high connection speed and satellite TV, these TV series reached out to some of the most secluded parts in the world, which for me is in Malaysia. In the American Idol, you will watch how these ordinary people (who can sing, of course) changed their life. While in The Biggest Loser you will be inspired on how to live a good and healthy lifestyle. Whereas through program show like ABDC you will be mesmerized on how dedication, passion and precision of movements can be translated into beautiful dance routines.
The highlight of ABDC this season would be the ABDC Champions for Charity where each of their previous seasons’ winners were performing to their respective charity groups or individuals; including the Less Than Half (specialized on amputee), Young, Beautiful and HIV Positive that creates awareness of HIV among young people and The Sparkle Effect where they started a group of cheerleaders for those who had disabilities. Just around the corner would be American Idol Gives Back where it will channel funds and help to some deserved areas all over the world. The sneak peak of it showed how important the mosquito nets for countries in Africa. I am all for a good cause ya!
