Minor Movie News: La Casa Muda (The Silent House)

At the beginning of this year, I posted about an upcoming horror film entitled La Casa Muda (The Silent House) from Uruguayan filmmaker Gustavo Rojo, and then posted an update not long after.  There hasn't been much news to report since then, but I received an e-mail from Gustavo just this morning, and wanted to share.

Even if the movie will be distributed in 16 countries, we still have not arrived to an agreement with the US distributor.In this days the sales agency team of the movie will at the Toronto Film Festival and will try to negotiate there. If the don't succeed in this, we will begin a round through different festivals around North America, beginning with the Festival du Nouveau Cinema de Montreal, Canada. Soon we will have press kit in English with all the news

So, there you go.  Still not much to announce, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this movie will, at some point, make its way to the U.S. in some way, shape or form that I can view it in.  We don't get many film festivals here in Nowheresville, Kansas.
