I hope you are all well.....Today is my first NOTD so enjoy!x
I am obsessed with having gorgeous nails. For years I've been having acrylic nail extensions. At the time they looked nice and I loved them but my mind soon changed once I saw the condition of my nails. They were yellow, flaky and weak. My nails looked awful. I've not had extensions for 3 months and they're still recovering. As much as I don't want to show you how bad they are I will as I want you to learn from my lesson and I'm sure this picture is going to put you off nail extensions. As my nails are in bad condition I cover them with varnish which the doctor said was ok as long as I stay away from acrylics and take my nail vitamins.
So today I received some Models Own varnishes. I am in LOVE! 3 out of the 4 of them are pink....did you know that I liked pink??
1) 3 in 1 Base/Top/Gloss coat
2)Buff Pink
3)Hot Pink
4) Magnenta Devine (Glitter)
(sorry not in order buff pink, hotpink, 3 in 1, magnenta devine)
I also got sent some Dirty Works nail tools which included scissors, clippers and a 4 in 1 Miracle Nail Shiner and Buffer.
Firstly I cut and shaped my nails with the 4 in 1 buffer. On the back of the packet that the buffer came in there are instructions telling you which part of the buffer to use and in what order. Its fab if you have never used one before. After using each section of the buffer my nail had the ridges removed, buffed and shined. They looked great. I could quite easily go out with my nails just like this but I wont as I want to try out my new varnishes.
With the Buff Pink I applied the 3 in 1 Clear Varnish as a base. This has left my nails with a nice shine. The Buff Pink is a really nice subtle pink which is in fashion this season I've seen it in loads of magazines lately. Ideally I will be using this Buff Pink with a white varnish to create a french manicure finish. I've not received my white varnish to do a french manicure look yet but once I do I will share it with you. I've still not got my own camera back yet but Ive tried my best to get the camera to show the colour of the varnish. I do love this colour and I will be using it regularly as it is gorgeous.
With the Hot Pink I applied the 3 in 1 as a top coat. This has given the Hot Pink varnish a shield as I didn't give it long to dry and it's not chipped or smudged even though I went to sort the washing out 5 minutes after applying. This colour is amazing, I love bright pinks and this ticks all the boxes. I only needed to apply one coat which is fab as it means it will last me that little bit longer. This is definitely a colour for the summer. I remember last year everyone wore bright colours like yellow, orange and pink. This will be very popular as the summer months approach so I suggest you purchase it now!
I've not tried the Glitter varnish yet but when I do I will share it with you when I do. The 3 in 1 varnish gets a big thumbs up from me it is everything you need in one.
I'm reallyy happy with all the varnishes and the nail tools. They are all so cheap as well so if you don't get on with them then its not a lot of money wasted.
