"Okusama wa 18-sai (lit: "My wife is 18-years old.")", was the pioneer episode of love comedy TV series aired in 1970 and will be adapted into a new series to start airing in March.
The original work for "Okusama wa 18-sai" had been serialized by manga anthology "Margaret" by Shueisha Publishing between 1960 and 1970, setting the background in the U.S. Moving the background back to Japan, the new TV series will depict the story of high school teacher Takagi and how he hides his relationship with his wife Asuka, who is also Takagi's student.
Nishikawa Takanori will be playing the role of Takagi this time. While being active within music scene as well, Nishikawa also played roles in other TV series, such as "Beautiful Life". It's his first time to play the role of a high school teacher, though.
The young actress Natsuna, who debuted with "Nobuta wo Produce" and is well known for also acting in "Kimi ni Todoke" and "GANTZ", will play the role of Nishikawa's wife.
The new TV series will be on air from 22:00 March 27th on Fuji TV.
