MEDICINE: WASTING DRUGS!!!!

Look at all of these legal meds!

(And 'they' won't legalize marijuana?)

The biggest problem with prescription medicine is:

People who take their meds live longer than those who don't!

I wonder what the original cost was (and who paid for it?) of all these supposedly unused prescriptions?

****Turn In Unused, Expired Prescription Medications Saturday.
(Drug Enforcement Administration Holding Prescription Take-Back Events.)

DENVER -- More than 100 local law enforcement agencies will partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration to hold prescription drug take-back events on Saturday, April 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Local law enforcement and the DEA took back nearly five tons of prescription drugs last year during the a take-back day, said Attorney General John Suthers in a statement.

"Prescription drug abuse by high school-aged children in our state is higher than the national average. By deciding to participate in this event, parents could be saving the life of a loved one," said Kevin Merrill, acting special agent in charge for the DEA in Denver.

Experts say people should not throw away or flush controlled substances. Drugs left in trash bins or by the curb can be stolen and abused.

To find a prescription drop off location near you, visit the Justice Department's website and enter your ZIP code.
