First of all can I say a HUGE thank you to all of you that have subscribed! I was so scared about creating my own blog about something that I'm passionate about and you have all been so welcoming with lovely comments so thank you so so much MWAH!!!
Right now down to business. I believe that we all should take a vitamin even if its just a multivitamin. No ones diet includes all the the necessary goodness so if you ask me taking a little tablet is a godsend (especially if you hate veggies like me)
I'm not going to be doing a review on ALL vits as I'm no doctor I'm just going to be writing about the ones that I use and these have all worked for me. I will put all of the links where you can buy them from at the very bottom of this post :-)
1. Sea Kelp - I saw a picture of Alex Curran (WAG) with these in her hand and me being a sucker for what celebs have I want I researched them and then bought some. Kelp is also known as seaweed. It contains a high level of IODINE which improves your thyroid which means it BOOSTS your METABOLISM which leads to DECREASE in WEIGHT (caps for emphasis lol) Its recommended to take 3 daily with food so I break it up and take one before every meal. Ensure that you don't stop eating, if I'm not hungry I do force myself to eat a banana so do the same!
2. Holland and Barrett Vitamins for the Hair - I have eczema on my scalp so as much as I try various products its never going to just go overnight so I thought that I had better look into taking some vitamins for my hair especially as its bleached and has been since I was 17 (4 years). I went into Holland and Barrett and the young lady was really helpful and suggested these as they were a best seller. The price was reasonable so I thought why not? I take one every morning with breakfast. At first I didn't notice any change in my hair, 3 weeks had passed and nothing. Then I went to the hairdressers and she was shocked that my hair had grown loads and that it was in much better condition than last time. I guess because I was looking in the mirror at my hair everyday I didn't notice a change but for someone else to notice it really made a difference. I put it down to the vitamins as I hadn't been using any new hair products. So a big thumbs up for these!!
3. Vitamin A and Vitamin E/ I use Bassetts Soft and Chewy Early Health Vitamins - Lack of Vitamin A can lead to dry skin which no girl wants especially in this cold English weather flaky skin is not a good look. I looked into ways to improve skin conditions. As I've said I have eczema so my skin is dry most of the time so I need all the help I can get to achieve flawless skin. My doctor recommended taking a Vitamin A supplement with a Vitamin E supplement as the Vitamin E has the correct fats to help the Vitamin A to be absorbed into the body (wow check me out I sound like a pro!)
4. Tesco Multivitamin and Iron - I've been taking this since I was about 14. It's just good for a health boost. THIS MAY BE TOO MUCH INFO SO DON'T READ ON IF YOU DON'T WANT TO....... I suffer from really bad period pains so much so that I used to just go to school come home and sleep because I had no energy. My mum would always buy me a steak if it was my time of the month just to try and give me some iron. My mummy dearest being worried like most mums decided to put me onto an iron supplement. I do find that it helps, I'm not stuck in bed with pains every month now though I do like to play on it if I want a back massage and chocolate from the boyfriend hehe....I hope he never reads this
These are just my opinions guys and these all work for me. If you are in doubt just consult your doctor before you take anything.
