Star Magic Music Video 2011 to debut on ASAP Rocks

In celebration of Star Magic's 19th anniversary, a fun music video featuring more than 300 hundred of its talents has been created in direction of Direk Paul Soriano.

The music video which is said to be 10-minute long, was also made by the Star Magic artists to express their gratitude to their fans and supporters who give "magic" to their lives.

Yeng Constatino was the one tasked to write an original song for this anniversary music video. She was able to accomplish in a matter of 2 days! Yeng instantly wrote the main theme song of Star Magic's 19th anniversary, “Ikaw ang Magic ng Buhay Ko”.

The said Star Magic Music Video is set to be released on "ASAP Rocks" on June 26, 2011.

Bianca Manalo, relationship wrecker?

Bianca Manalo is being implicated once again in another showbiz break-up, this time John Prats and Rachel Anne Go's. Is Bianca a relationship wrecker?

Bianca was previously rumored to be the cause of Jake Cuenca and Melissa Ricks' split. The beauty-queen-turned-actress fiery refuted the rumor and appealed to stop dragging her name to the issue.

Just recently, the actress' name came up anew in the recent rumored break-up of actor John Prats and singer Rachel Ann Go. Bianca also denied the new issue.

“Nirerespeto ko po kung anong relasyon meron sila. Kung may pinagdaanan po sila, labas na po ako dun, wala po akong kinalaman talaga…Ako po, bilang babae, ayaw ko po sanang mailagay sa ganyang klaseng isyu—na may third party,” Bianca reportedly said.

Meanwhile, Rachel Ann has confirmed break up with John and said that there was no 'third party' involved.

Shaina Magdayao pregnant?

Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz just got back from their European trip together. But as they got home, they were immediately greeted with rumors.

One of the rumors is saying that Shaina is conceiving a child. John Lloyd refuted the rumor saying in a Push.com.ph interview,

“Buntis or ewan ko, engaged (na raw kami), mas malala pa dyan ‘yung mga ibinato sa amin pero tanggap naman namin na parte ‘yan ng trabahong pinasok namin.

“Sana matuto silang tumahimik na at wala naman kaming ginagawang masama kung sino man ‘yung nang-iimbento,” John Lloyd said.

John Lloyd Cruz, turning 28 years old this June 24th, and Shaina Magdayao, 21, were once subjects of a vaginal-lock scandal rumor last year. This might be what John Lloyd pertained to when he said "mas malala."

In the same interview, John Lloyd also belied the rumors about them getting engaged while they were still in Europe. He said,

Diether Ocampo intimidated by Robin Padilla?

Diether Ocampo is said to have been intimidated by his "Guns N' Roses" co-star Robin Padilla. But the Kapamilya hunk refuted the rumor saying he isn't and he even looks up Binoy.

“Tinuturing ko nga siyang maestro ko. Ang laki ng naitulong ni Kuya Robin sa akin,” Diet told ABS-CBN News.

"Guns N' Roses" is Diether Ocampo's first action series. Diet is playing the role of Marco Aguilar, the villain who will make the life of Robin Padilla‘s character, miserable. He admitted in an interview that he finds the role very challenging for him.

Diether Ocampo is also working on a Cinemalaya entry "Rakenrol" by Quark Henares. In the indie film, Diet will be playing a "rakista" role.

John Lloyd Cruz denies engagement with Shaina Magdayao during their Euro Trip

John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao were greeted with rumors when they got home after their vacation in Europe. One of the rumors is saying that the real-life lovers are already engaged and that the wedding proposal was made while they were still out of the country.

In a Push.com interview John Lloyd said,

Pilipinas Got Talent 2 finalists now complete

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 (PGT 2) list of finalists is now complete after the wild card results episode held earlier tonight proclaimed Rico the Magician and Skeights as the last two grand finalists for this season.


The selection of the wild card finalists which was a first on the show's history all over the world, was a bit different. The three contestants who garnered the most number of overnight votes were asked to perform again, while the voting lines were opened once more for people to vote in like an hour more. The Top 2 were then determined through the new results of text and online voting. The judges did not anymore choose their pick.

Again, Rico and Skeights won tonight's voting. Actress Zsa Zsa Padilla might have been disappointed with the results since she was campaigning for Joy's Diva, Rico, and Collins earlier. :D

Marie Digby signs a contract with Star Records and MCA Universal

Marie Digby, one of the most viewed musicians on Youtube, is now a recording artist in the Philippines after she signed a contract with Star Records and MCA Universal on Monday. Marie will be recording original songs in her first album with the Philippine-based recording companies.

Born Marie Christina Digby, the 28-year-old American singer-songwriter became famous for her cover of Rihanna's "Umbrella" in 2007 which became a hit and was featured on MTV's "The Hills" series. Since then, she was able to record 3 studio albums in the US.

Marie Digby was in the Philippines in 2009 for a one-night concert and got back in the country 3 months ago to do shows and appear in events in the Kapamilya network. Perhaps, she'll be staying here longer since she has to record and promote her upcoming album still.

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 to add wilcard contestants in the Grand Finals

Pilipinas Got Talent Season 2 (PGT 2) producers have decided to allow semi-finalists to battle for 2 more slots in the Grand Finals. First time in the show's history, it was announced during last night's results episode that a Wild Card Week will be held this coming weekend.

Six contestants from the previous semi-final rounds who failed to get the judges' votes will once again perform on the PGT 2 stage and charm the viewers since the decision of who the last 2 grand finalists would be will be solely based on the text votes. The judges will not anymore vote for their pick.

Amaya (GMA-7) ratings high but Mara Clara (ABS-CBN) still reigns

Amaya (GMA-7), the newest epicserye on Philippine primetime, debuted strong as evidenced by the ratings its premier episode got in a couple of surveys by AGB Nielsen. However, they were not enough to take away the number 1 spot from ABS-CBN's Mara Clara.

On May 30, Marian Rivera's show scored a rating of 26.2 percent in the Household ratings and 14.3 percent in the People ratings. These may be high but they fell short in beating Mara Clara's 28.3 percent and 14.7 percent in the Household and People ratings, respectively.

The Kapamilya drama is still on top of the game leaving the new show from the Kapuso network in second place.

Kim Chiu gains weight for 'Binondo Girl'

Kim Chiu, known for her very skinny figure, revealed that she has gained weight and is working on gaining more for her role in her upcoming series, "Binondo Girl."

Kim told Pep.ph earlier this month that from her previous weight of 96lbs, she is now 108lbs. She added that she has to add a few more pounds since her role needs her to be in 115-120lbs weight range.

"Gandang Gabi Vice", actor-comedian Vice Ganda's newest talk show, has debuted strong in Mega Manila. The new show took the number 1 spot in the list of Top 10 primetime shows in the recently released AGB Nielsen Mega Manila People Ratings for May 22, 2011. The ABS-CBN Sunday night comedy show got a rating of 11.8% taking the lead over GMA7's "Kap's Amazing Stories" and "Pepito Manaloto."

Vice Ganda to host a talk show on ABS-CBN

Is Vice Ganda the newest Boy Abunda?


TV host-comedian Vice Ganda is getting the biggest break in his career since the Kapamilya network has just chosen him to host its brand new talk show. Not only that... The show's title was named after him - it's "Gandang Gabi, Vice!"

As the title implies, the show will be shown at night time. The question now is: Is it going to replace SNN or "The Bottomline" which are both hosted by the "King of Talk" Boy Abunda? One of them has to be gone for sure since an additional talk or entertainment news-oriented kind of show on the same night would somehow bore the viewers, right?

Meanwhile, the news about Vice Ganda's new talk show also made some fans to become worried since they are afraid that they can no longer see Vice on "Showtime" once the new show starts.

Nothing much have been revealed about the show really. Noypi will update you up when more info come out.

'100 Days to Heaven' premier episode tops ratings | Kantar Media-TNS and AGB Nielsen Surveys - May 9, 2011

ABS-CBN's newest fantasy series "100 Days to Heaven" has debuted strong based on its ratings in a couple of surveys on May 9, 2011.

According to Kantar Media-TNS Natinal Household Ratings for primetime shows, Coney Reyes' '100 Days to Heaven' got a rating of 32.1%. Coco Martin's "Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin' is a close second with 30.8%, followed by another ABS-CBN soap " Mara Clara" with 29.2%.
