Christian Lopez, nice guy or a world-class fool?

Christian Lopez, 25, is the guy who caught Derek Jeter’s 3,000 hit at Yankee Stadium last Saturday. The historic whack turned out to be a home run which made ball Lopez caught very valuable.

But, instead of holding onto the rock, Lopez, a huge Jeter fan, exchanged it for some signed jerseys and bats.

Since then there has been a great debate in New York circles portraying Lopez as a nice guy who did the “right thing” to the biggest chump on the planet who gave away a chance to make $250,000 dollars.

Lopez, to his credit said he’s young and can make that money in his lifetime. That’s a nice attitude to have and I hope he doesn’t lose it. However, had Lopez kept the ball and held out for big loot that also would’ve been the right and wise thing to do.
There’s no shame in securing a better future for one’s self by realizing a financial windfall for catching a baseball. Only idealistic Liberals, who live in their own world with no basis in reality, think that way.

I’m not saying that of Lopez, he’s just young.

MSNBC has officially becomes African American-politics channel by hiring notorious racial pimp, Al Sharpton

I thought it was very interesting that President Obama flew into New York a months ago the kiss the Al Sharpton’s ring. Candidate Obama in 2008 stayed as far away from Al as he could to feed the false perception of being the “post racial” candidate.

It was a nice game of bait and switch for public consumption.

But, a little reported factoid of that night was that MSNBC president Phil Griffin was also in attendance. A few weeks later Shapton makes up a bogus award and hands gives it to Griffin. And a few months after that Sharpton, one of the most notorious race baiters/attack dogs for the Democrat Party is hosting MSNBC Live.

Let’s be real here!

MSNBC is not a series news organization. It’s the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party masquerading as journalists. However, with the hiring of this charlatan in Al Sharpton, MSNBC has sunk to a new low, even for them.

In defense of Casey Anthony…passion not the rule

Hating Casey Anthony is not the standard our system of laws uses to determine guilt. Otherwise we would need a prison the size of Rhode Island to house all the people that rubbed us the wrong way.

I think Casey Anthony probably killed her daughter. But, isn’t it a good thing that this Florida jury had the courage to base their decision on the evidence, or lack thereof?

Suppose it was you on trial for murder with bits and pieces of circumstantial evidence that made you look very guilty? All of a sudden it’s your face plastered all over the tabloids and the talking heads with an axe to grind and TV ratings to worry about are calling for your head 24/7.

If a system of justice can find a person as universally hated as Casey Anthony not guilty, then we all should be thankful because we have a system based on evidence instead of passion. That’s the way it supposed to work, and it this case it did.

Fault the Florida prosecutors for presenting a case that required more leaps of faith than facts in evidence. From the very beginning and to this day after six weeks of trial we still do not know how Kaylee Anthony died.

Yes, she’s dead!

But, did the state tell us how she died?

No!

So, how can they say Anthony killed her?

She didn’t report the child missing for 30 days, she dance the night away, she told repeated lies about where Kayleee was, and got as tattoo to boot.

All true and all stipulated as such by the defense. But, where was the evidence that this mother killed her daughter, how did she do it?

That question was never answered by the state besides saying that it had to be the mother because she’s a liar. What else would she be lying about? And she acted like she was guilty.

Acting guilty is not proof of guilt, not in a court of law that demands the state prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

We all should be very glad about that.

Political Correctness passed Gay Marriage in New York

Gay Marriage passed because not enough good New Yorkers had the courage to fight it. That’s the power of Political Correctness.

The LGBT lobby was better organized to get what they wanted. It took action, and they were willing to do it.

But, on the other side where a majority of New Yorkers are against Gay Marriage in the comfort of their own homes , that’s why the battle was lost. Why bother and get labeled intolerant or a homophobe for fighting for a moral belief—the sanctity of marriage? That’s what Liberals count on and why they use PC bashing to discourage good people to fight, to speak out, or to take it to the streets.

They won, we lose because we lack guts!

(BUMPED) Gay Marriage comes to New York because NY GOPers ain’t worth a lump of shit

I might as well get back in the mix with guns blazing!

I was away for a couple of weeks tending to a sick Dad with lung cancer. In that time I heard drips of news here and there concerning the Gay Marriage bill in my beloved New York.

It doesn’t look good for people who believe correctly that marriage should be between a man and a woman as the good Lord intended. Spare me the talk of marriage inequality and second class citizenship for homosexuals.

I couldn’t care less!

I believe in a Holy God that sets the rules on how we should live. And if that God says that homosexuality is an abomination in three different faiths (Christianity, Judaism, and the chic religion of the Left, Islam) then we all bear the burden of ignoring that decree.

However, it’s a tough pill to swallow that the deciding votes on this disgrace of a bill may come at the hands of worthless Republicans that have turned their backs on traditional values.

That this is happening is not surprising to me because I’ve lived in NY all my 48 yrs. So I know these GOP bustards are no better than Democrats.

But, it’s painful nonetheless!

I think New York needs to truly be called Sin City instead of Las Vegas. After all we have a governor in Andrew Cuomo who is a devout fornicator and we're the state who produced Anthony Weiner. How much of a freak show this state has become?

Sarah Palin has the goods to be a great president if…

…she decides to run. As far as those who have a problem with Palin, they’re not really very important in the final analysis because I’m old enough to remember how people hated Reagan too before and during his presidency.

How did he work out?

People just can’t handle that she’s smart, beautiful, has a rugged good looking husband that loves her, five lovely children, was a mayor, a governor, and a successful businesswoman. She has it all and people with esteem issues, folks that want to be considered intellectuals on the Left and the Right don’t have the mental capacity to process it all, and let’s not forget the scores of less attractive women that hate her just for GP.

Don’t worry about it, Sarah, millions will rally to your side if you take the plunge!

Paul Krugman is unsustainable in his present form: Says there’s nothing wrong with Medicare

I think I’ve been banned from Memeorandum because I wrote a post disagreeing with Paul Krugman, the “Yoda” the Left.
Today, Paul has come out with another one of his pronouncements Liberals will no doubt hang their hats on this week.

Liberals love to introduce Krugman as a Nobel Prize winner in economics. But, I think the majority of Americans aren’t impressed by this anymore because they know it’s an award offered by Liberals to other Liberals they like. Let’s get real, folks. President Obama was given the Nobel Prize after serving hours as president. So that award has been forever rendered relevant only to the Left.

Krugman believes Medicare is okay in its present form.

Paul Krugman

So this business about Medicare in its present form being unsustainable sounds wise but is actually a stupid slogan. The solution to the future of Medicare is Medicare — smarter, less open-ended, but recognizably the same program.

More here

So the people who have been administering Medicare haven’t been smart enough, or at least not as smart as Paul Krugman.

Thanks Paul for clearing this up for us mere mortals that don’t have your intelligence.

But, I’m still not grasping what Krugman means by “open ended”. Far be it from me to complain that a Nobel Prize winner didn’t offer up a specific example of what the heck he meant. Not smart enough I guess.

But it does sound like Krugman has a problem with seniors living to a ripe old age and the medical costs associated with that. Are you bringing back the dreaded “death panels” Paul? Is this the smarter way to do Medicare?

Maybe Krugman needs to write another article.

There! That’ll keep me off Meme a few more weeks.

How does Anthony Weiner keep his job when other New York congressman got booted for misconduct?

This is day 6 of Weinergate and I think it’s safe to assume that the randy congress from New York got caught with his pickle down sending a lewd photo of his privates to a sexy coed more than half his age.

After four days of contrived explanations and incredible to believe scenarios, Weiner has succeeded in raising more questions than answering them. He persists to claim that his Twitter account was “hacked”, which is a federal crime, but at the same time refuses to call in the F.B.I. or the Capital Police to get to the bottom of it.

If Weiner insists on not calling in the authorities to pursue the criminal or criminals involved in committing a federal offense, how can he feel it won’t happen again?

That’s if you believe his paper thin story in the first place.
Chances are very strong that Weiner, by his in-action not to pursue justice indicts himself as the actual culprit not wanting to make a false claim to the Feds which in itself is also a federal crime.

So where does that leave us?

We have a married sitting U.S. congressman sending out lewd soft-core porn photographs of himself to young attractive women, maybe some of them are minors. How is this not at least conduct unbecoming a U.S. congressman?

Congressman Eric Massa of New York left congress after revelations of tickling male pages. He was a Republican,

Congressman Chris Lee also of New York left congress after revelations he sent a shirtless photo of himself to Craig List. He was also a Republican.

Isn’t what Weiner did at least equivalent to those offenses and he gets to stay in congress? How does that work exactly? The rules are applied differently to Democrats?

Don’t believe the hype. The Left knows Palin could beat the community organizer if she runs

Shakespeare once wrote, “Thou protest too much!”

And so is the case with Liberals who routinely mock Palin as being stupid and not much of a commodity. However, their actions giveaway their true feelings of fear because they know she represents everything they hate-traditional values, common sense, and liberty.

The Left is a collection of misfits and freaks. You name the aberrant behavior and there’s a 100% certainty that they would find a home on the Left. If men or woman wanted to marry goats and have sex with 5 year old children, it would be the Left who’d be Johnny on the spot to defend it and call it xxx-empowerment or a civil right issue.

This is who these people are, and they’ll do or say most anything to corvine the world they’re the mainstream.

It ain’t so!

The false racism charge against Dove points to bigger issues-Most ads are designed PC

The false controversy of Dove putting out a racist ad was laughable but oh so typical of the PC age we live in. Thanks to the warped minds of liberals everything they see and experience must go through the PC rinse cycle. As such they feel it’s their calling or duty to look out for minorities because they can’t possibly look out for themselves.

So if you’re a corporation like Hallmark and sell a talking graduation card for 5th graders that mentions “black holes”, ya’ run the risk of some mental giants over at the L.A. NAACP that would swear on a stack of collard greens they hear “black whores”.

Look at any TV commercial that involves African Americans interacting with Caucasians.

Office setting-The manager (aka the boss) of the office is going to be an African American or a member of another protected group (Latinos, women, gays ect). That member of the PG will always be depicted as smart, competent and it total control of the situation.

Bank setting-The manager and or loan officer will be African American and the one seeking the loan will be a Caucasian. You won’t see a Black person seeking a loan from a White.

General office setting (No boss involved)-If you have at least one member of a PG interacting with Whites, rest assured the black dude or gal will be the one to come up with the answer to solve the problem whiles the Whites are depicted as less or even incompetent.

In general-The person with all the answers will be Black or a PG member, the people seeking the answers will be White.

This is the advertising environment that you see on TV and it’s so politically correct, it’s ridiculous.

Rush to GOP: Talk Radio can’t do the work for you!

Rush Limbaugh warned feckless Republicans that they can’t depend on Talk Radio to do the heavy lifting of defending their ideas.

This is a problem many conservatives fret about—cowardly GOPers afraid to defend themselves for fear of being hammered by the MSM. What these guys fail to always understand is the media is going to hammer them anyway. So no amount of vanilla, me-too conservatism will ever be a winning strategy.

Sadly, we have too many seeking-the-middle wimps on our side.

$100,000 NYS teachers?...Don’t they always cry poor?

“We need more money!”

In one way or another, this is the only phrase every public sector teacher’s union knows how to say. I’ve been hearing since I was a kid and the lie still gets told to this day.

It’s as much a myth as man-made climate change!

Teacher’s are very well paid and in NYS more than 1,200 teachers and administrators get paid fat-cat pensions exceeding $100,000 a year!

I’m not against people getting paid a lot of money. But, I very much object to the deceitful ways teachers pick my pocket and expect me not to know the difference.

So the next time you see a union official or a teacher on TV playing the sad sack role and crying the not getting pain enough blues, we all should be paid so little.

Is there a difference between Maria Shriver and a high class call girl?

I’m reminded of a story that goes like this:

A man asks a woman, “Would you sleep with me for a million dollars?”

The woman says, “Yeah!”

Then the man asked, “Would you sleep with me for $10 dollars?”

The woman says, “No, what kind of a woman do you think I’m am?”

The man says, “We’ve already established what kind 0f woman you are. Now, we’re haggling over price!”

It’s been reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger brought his wife a new house every time she caught him in an affair. Now she has her won Kennedy compound.

What does it look like to you?

Stephen Hawking’s disbelief in Heaven may indicate that he’s on the verge of his greatest discovery

I feel sorry for Hawking in more way than one. First, I can’t imagine what his life must be like processing such a gifted mind, and yet having to live locked in a shell of a broken body ravaged by ALS.

However, the impressive thing is that despite his disability he’s achieved much in his life. Many consider him the smartest man in the world.

So who am I am to argue?

Yes, Hawking is a genius, which is noteworthy and without question. Yet, although he is extremely smart, it’s not coupled with Godly sense--for if Hawking had this kind of sense, he would be able to fathom the world around him and comprehend beyond what his eyes see. If he had this kind of sense, he would easily determine that the complexities of the universe couldn’t possibly be formed by happenstance.

The Bible specifically speaks about people like Hawking:

1 Corinthians 1:20-21, 25

“So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world’s brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world look foolish. Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.”

“This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.”

Basically these verses speaks to how the idea of God and Heaven and other such things associated with that seems like utter foolishness to the Uber-intelligent people of the world. People like these or Hawking in particular are unable to understand God and His existence because their own intellect doesn’t allow them to make the leap into faith understanding in God. This doesn’t mean that Hawking will be an atheist for the rest of his life. It only means that God hasn’t made Himself manifest to Hawking in a personal way.

I have hope for Hawking and others like him.

I think he is on the verge of his greatest discovery, that yes, Heaven is real and so is God in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Believing is good!

Maria is breaking her vows to Arnold too. …better or worse?

We live in a society of smart phones and stupid people. Instant coffee used to be the rage, but it’s nothing compared to Facebook or Twitter. We want our immediate gratification yesterday and complain and go into a deep panic when our cell goes dead.

In this life scheme, the “C” part of the word “commitment” in marriage has become as passé as a land line.

And so, Maria Shriver has decided to pack her bags and leave her 25 year marriage to Arnold Schwarzenegger. Reports are that The Terminator strayed from the marriage bed with the hired help and produced a love child.

It’s as messy as messy can be.

But, that’s exactly what “or worse” is. It’s sloppy, embarrassing, and especially painful.

Is Arnold in the wrong?

Absolutely, no question! He deserves every bit of scorn that comes his way. But, there’s a lot of details we’re not privy to. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.

But, although Maria is the recipient of great injury, by leaving the marriage, she breaks her vow to Arnold to stay with her husband in good times and in bad. Both are equally guilty of making a mockery of their marriage vows.

Maria is no better.

NYS Sen Ruben Diaz Sr. fights the good fight against homosexual marriage in the Empire state

You won’t hear me do this too often, but I’m going to sing the praises of a Democrat—Ruben Diaz Sr. Now I and Ruben probably don’t agree on many issues. However, my fellow Puerto Rican compatriot and Christian gentlemen from The Bronx is a staunch defender of traditional marriage.

Good for you, Ruben!

There’s a push to bring Gay Marriage to New York. But, here’s the dirty little secret. The biggest proponents of Gay marriage in NY are white liberals. But on the other side, the biggest opponents are Latinos liberals, African American liberals and of course conservatives.

Diaz knows this, which is why he’s urging Gov Cuomo to let the people of the state decide the issue. And I totally agree. Let the people decide, not the politicians or the judges.

Michele Bachmann is plenty conservative!

At lunch today I heard Rush talking about some knocks coming Michele Bachmann’s way from a piece in the Daily Caller. For some reason there are whispers going around GOP circles that she isn’t conservatively pure because she supported Ethanol subsidies.

To quote Barack Obama, “It’s the silly season!”

I’m not down with Ethanol, and yes it’s a boondoggle twisted up in Iowa politics. However, whether or not Bachmann is for or against E subsidies should not be a litheness test for conservative purity.

We conservatives play this stupid game all the time where we pull down our pants, whip it out and try to prove who the bigger conservative is. This practice will never go away, and I understand that. Nonetheless, we more often than not make fools of ourselves as we shoot each other’s feet.

Having said that, Michele Bachmann is plenty enough conservative for me! In fact, she tows the conservative line better than 99.9% of all Washington GOPers. She’s not afraid to unapologetically speak conservative values without trying to blur the message for the approval of the Washington elites.

She’s a founding member of the Tea Party Caucus in the House—nuff said!

And she has more balls than John Boehner and Eric Cantor combined.

Case closed!

If you mess with Michele, you mess with me.

Trump, was a flash in the pan…but Obama is still very nervous about keeping his job

Donald Trump, the master showman and billionaire is holding onto his hat. It was a nice flirtation and he made some noise.

But, he was never a serious threat to run for the GOP nod. However, it would be a huge mistake for GOPers to misinterpret what Trump did in a very short time.

Trump wasn’t afraid to speak boldly and take it hard to the president. And the GOP electorate responded very positively. So for the candidates left in the field or for those yet not decided to run, it would be q big mistake to think that playing it safe or being a mealy mouth candidate won’t get it done!

The most effective candidate against Barack Obama will be the candidate not afraid to directly challenge the president.

It’s about bold colors, not pale pussy pastels!

Barack who? People forget Hillary was a slam dunk for Dem nomination-Herman Cain can repeat history for GOP nod

I remember it well.

I work in an office filled with Democrats and 99.9% of my black co-workers were staunch Hillary Clinton supporters. Most of the whites too.

So I used to chided my friends, “Hey, how come you ain’t support’en da bratha?”

“Oh, he has no shot. Pleeeese!”

That changed in less than 12 hours after Barack Obama won Iowa Caucuses.

The very next day I heard “OBANA! OBAMA!” chant all over the office.

So I asked my friend again, “What happened with Hillary?’

“Who?”

People are trying to play if off, but Obama was a total unknown. And the talking heads didn’t give him a shot.
So if you think Herman Cain can’t come out the blue to make a serious run, think again!
