Cat's Whiskers Plant?

Less Word Wednesday #13>> Cat's Whiskers Plant?

A Cat's Whiskers Plant?

This is a post dedicated to a dear friend of mine, Shinade a.k.a Jackie from The Painted Veil. She had taught me so many things about life in and out of blogsphere in a way that I couldn’t repay her enough. She even inspired me to take more pictures (she took lots of beautiful pictures). This is for you Shinade, I will always remember you with every photos that I took (do visit her and leave your kind words there :)

Photography has opened up a whole new world for me. It helps me in so many ways that I could never list them all here. It is almost like a miracle in my life. So I must go where my heart leads me. My plans are to learn everything possible about my camera, take tons of pictures, and maybe even try my hand at some local competitions. I am moving out of the virtual world and back into the real world. - Shinade

For a starter, I took this picture; a strange flowering plant that my mum bought from Kuala Lumpur. Yes, she bought it from a city and took it to my home in Johore (a rural area). I don’t remember what the name of this small plant, but the botanist said if you eat its flower; it will lower your blood pressure. If I am not mistaken, it’s called Misai Kucing in Malay language (direct translation: Cat’s whiskers). Anyone can help me verified it? More pictures after the jump.

I know these pictures are far from beautiful (I blamed it on the stormy weather and my shaky hands), but I did my best. Please be kind when commenting. Have a wonderful Wednesday!

The Monkey Tales

Less Word Wednesday #12 >> The Monkey Tales

My house is near a mountain that was undergoing a massive make over to turn it into some tourist destination. There are few changes due to this hill development. Now I could hear loud karaoke during the weekend and it’s getting harder to drive in and out from my house. Oh, and there are lots of wild animals that run away from the hill too.

The usual passerby across my lawn would be squirrels, monkeys, and wild boars. A few weeks back, there was a group of angry monkeys tried to bite and bitten this one monkey. That poor bleeding animal tries his best to take refuge around my house area with a hope that others will go away.

I tried to catch some picture of that scared monkey, but he hide in between our window grills. They left to the next empty lot after a few minutes of grills banging and a loud heated argument between the monkeys; they must said something like this, “Hey, don’t be such a coward! Come out and fight!”

Thank God they went to our house. Our front neighbor is a licensed hunter and he already shot a few monkeys in my front yard. No monkeys want to mess with him!

Sigh. I miss the sound of bird’s knocking on my window in the morning and my cat seems to miss the present of small snakes in our living room (it usually slip from under the gap between the door and floor).

P/S: I will be off to Shah Alam tomorrow. I hope I could be online again that evening. See you guys later and thanks for reading!

Why Human is Animal Best Friend

Hi, my name is Heejeerah. Some may already read about me in this post done by one of my family, yeah he adores me. So, I am a guest writer for Hot Shit Form Here this month. I live in a small town with a bunch of family members. I would love to tell you guys my top 5 why human is an animal best friend!

1. They never judge me
- Even I haven’t been taken bath for quite some times, I never was accused for the bad smelled in the room. They never knew though that I fart release some air when I had a bad stomachache.

2. They need me as their source of entertainment
- Of course some of them forcibly requited us into some circus or freak show, but they also immortalized us as a superhero. You could see them borrowed our character in Cat woman, Batman or in the Spiderman series. They always wanted to touch their inner animal instinct from time to time whether in form of entertainment or in their sex life.

3. You could always share secrets with them
- I always share mine with them. May be they to dumb to understand it, but at least they never tell anyone what it’s all about. That being said, I am totally into those human secret whisperers. Gossiping is the best way to spend for otherwise a boring day. And they also love to share their secrets with us!

4. They love to touch me
- If only my species could be charged in court, I am sure there are a lot animals out there will sue human kind for sexual harassment. We were cuddled, touched and even grasped in some inappropriate areas. Nevertheless, I also love to hump on their fluffy cushions and sometimes a leg or hand (especially when they were asleep). Well, I guess we are squared then.

5. They care about us
- They cried when we are sick or when we lost. They watched us growing up and treat us like a family member. They even had made a movie or two about the friendship that were shared together right? And that is the main reason why human is an animal best friend!

So, you already have my top 5 Why Human is an Animal Best Friend. But, before I wrap up my post, there is also a reason why I hate human being so much!

I hate her!

PETA

- I hate PETA. Every time I see internet, there she is. With her fake boobs, fake lips and fake ass buttock (click here in case you do not know what buttock means - young people nowadays). I am sure none of my species looks like that. And how many times did she marry already? She was even dashing bad words to my Jessica Simpson. Damn that old lady! Go and do what you done the best!

*Updated* So, let me know why do you think Animal is Man Best Friend? I am sure my friends would love to hear it from you! By the way, I am a single and available bachelor cat. If you think I am attractive, please let me know. You could always leave me a phone number or email here. I am sure Bluecrystaldude will be kind enough to let me know later. Thanks!

Close at Home

My butts are killing me. After 9 hours sitting on that bus, I really glad (honored, happy, highly happy, ecstasy-ly happy and every single words that could describe a positive feeling). After about 3 month not going home, I love being able to jump on my comfortable bed without any sound of cracking to be heard, love the fast and reliable internet connectivity, eat everything that I want without thinking about the price, watch television with its remote in my hand and lastly just feel belonging. Oh, and I love my cat too!

I have a cat name Heejeerah which means “moving from one place to another”. It is an Arabic word and we modified its spelling to suit our family (my siblings and my name was spelled with double letter, e.g Haaziq, note the double "A"s). My family bought him for USD120 about 5 years ago. Now he still single (as my family decided to sterile him). I took quite a long time to determine my cat breed. Whether it was American Shorthair, American Bobtail or American Wirehair. The pet owner said he was American interbred with Persian, all I know that he was an American cat that has longer fur than normal cat and his face is not so scary like Persian cat.

One of a bad thing about him is that he likes to chase (and bite) anything that is moving, whether is was an innocent animal, or my leg (ouch!). As you may heard like any pet story, most of them had done honorable acts such as saving the owner, chase down the burglar, bite the owner when he's hungry and so on like what you could see in Animal Planet channel. I always thought that they just making them up or exaggerated the story to become more heroic than the reality. However, my cat did couple acts that were honorable.

First incident:
It happen a week before Hari Raya Aidilfitri (a festival celebrated by Muslim after a month of fasting) few years back. My maid was boiling water in early morning and then she felt asleep. Suddenly, I woke up after I heard my cat rare purring. That was when I saw my room on the second floor already filled with smoke. Thank God nothing severely burnt.

Second incident:
My house was broken in by burglars. All of my family members were tied up and gathered in one room. Although we lost quite a fortune that night, we still thankful to be alive. When did my cat came in the story? He was bravely struggled away from those burglars to save himself. Haha. At least, he wasn't kidnapped right?

Anyway, that all about my cat. Think twice before you taking any cute and adorable pet. We need to take care of their health, food, happiness and cost of maintaining them and you should be able to treat them just like other human being. Think also about your neighbors opinion. I used to have a dog named Jackie. But he died after being shot by Animal Control Officers as one of my neighbor complained to them Jackie wasn't suitable to be in the our Malay neighborhood.

Here are pictures from my brother personal collection about a cat that was kidnapped strangely enough by MONKEYS that thought the cat was one of his own kind! Just click the link below! (it's javascript - won't take you away from this page :)

How about you? Do you have or used to have a pet? I am sure my readers would love to hear more!

Animal Birth Control??

Beautiful, international sex symbol Dita Von Teese launches PETA's ABC campaign to tackle the dog and cat overpopulation crisis.

In the U.S., homelessness is not just a human problem. U.S. animal shelters must put to death nearly 4 million dogs and cats every year because of simple math: too many animals and not enough worthy adoptive homes. You can help prevent this—it's as easy as Animal Birth Control!

Always spay or neuter your animals, and never buy them from a breeder or a pet store.

Oh no.. now, animal too have to wear protection. lol [red_blood]
