Oder wie könnte man ein Album, auf dem nahezu nichts geschieht, was dem Hörer halt bieten könnte oder dem Hörer etwas Greifbares bietet beschreiben? Vielleicht lassen wir Kevin McCraney selbst das Wort ergreifen:This album was an experiment in drone-based music, similar in concept to Alvin Lucier's 'I Am Sitting In A Room.' I would take a sample track, and play it back into a room in order to make apparent the resonant frequencies of the room, and then thime stretch it into a piece. AFter that, I would superimpose some sort of field recording, or even the original sample. Tihs project was completed in three days, from July 4 to July 7, 2008.
Dieses interessante Konzept hinter Nightwaves & Dreamscapes ermöglicht es dem Album sich von der Flut an Ambient Releases abzuheben - dennoch, sicherlich nicht für jedermann geeignet, aber für alle jene Träumer die es genießen, die WElt beim Einschlafen zu beobachten allerwärmstens empfohlen.
