Move away Tiger, this is my year! My colleague emailed me about my Chinese Horoscope. Apparently, I am Fire Rabbit; the leader of all the rabbits. On that note, welcome Rabbit year and Happy Chinese New Year to all my readers!

The year of the Rabbit: is in sharp contrast to the explosive year of the tiger. It is a year of placidity and respite where little will be set in stone; a carefree happy year that will be both temperate and relaxed.

By the way, have you noticed Hot Shit Form Here new look? Do you like it? I was inspired by beautiful book covers (yes, I love to read books, the real one). As mentioned by lots of reading posts lately, I always judge a book by its cover; well, you need an escape after all those words don’t you?

First Ever USM Blogger Gathering

Hello again my fellow readers. As you might have noticed, I haven’t been around the blogsphere last week. I have been busy busting my ass in and out library during office hour, while having dinner and enjoy some quality times with my friends when the night came. I am sorry if you have to endure the constant and continuous (some even deemed it as annoying) updates through my twitter account about where and what am I doing at that period of time; thanks to my current new “game”, “foursquare”. It basically will pin point your current location to your friends.

I rarely talk about what is going on with my daily life, but in this post, I will talk about what had been happening to me these last few days. If any of you who are not comfortable reading this kind of entry, please just skip this post. This week, I have been spending lots of my night life went out with my blogger friends from my university which is Universiti Sains Malaysia (University Science Malaysia, USM). I have known some of these amazing people from my daily encounter around the campus and some of them solely through blogsphere. Thus, one of my friends, YAN^S had made an initiative to organize a blogger event for us.

First Night:
Attendance: The organizer, YAN^S, his partner friends, Nikillas, their friend, Dalila and bluecrystaldude and Lilyto.
Location: McD Juru
Purpose: Just getting to know each other better. YAN^S was my roommate last couple of years.

Second Night:
Attendance: Kak JuLia d buBles, d2z, bluecrystaldude, lilyto, YAN^S, Nikillas, kuro
Location: Mamak Restaurant; Mohamaad Nasi Kandar
Purpose: Planning the venue and date for the Third Night



Third Night:
Attendance: Kak JuLia d buBles, d2z, bluecrystaldude, lilyto, YAN^S, Nikillas, kuro and we also met another USM blogger which is DeeDee
Location: Dinner at Secret Recipe Juru, Supper at McD Juru
Purpose: Having a great time with each other

There are lots of other USM bloggers that were not attending this event. I am sure if we had a chance, we could organize another one in the future. However, my life as a chemical engineering student in the campus almost comes to the end. My last paper will be next week, Monday (26th April 2010) and I will be back to my hometown in Johore on the next weekend. I really cherished the time I had spent here in USM and really thankful for everything that I had learned, stumbled upon, meeting new friends and the unforgettable experiences here. Hopefully, the future in my life will be even better. Enjoy your weekend!

A H1N1, Blogging and Taylor Swift

I am breeding H1N1 viruses inside my body. I have dripping nose, fever and my body sweat like hell. Well, maybe it is just an ordinary flu, but I think it would be more dramatic if I am sporting one – I am afraid to visit a doctor for the fear of getting quarantined. Don’t worry though, I have limited my activity in the public; sitting in front of my laptop and television all the time. Did I mention on my bed? Well, I am actually enjoying my sickness while it last.

For those who haven’t heard, my campus, Universiti Sains Malaysia (University Science Malaysia), Engineering campus, has been ordered to close for a week. There are few confirmed H1N1 cases, lots of students have been quarantined for suspected cases and almost a quarter of my friends were having high temperature fever.

So, when the lecturers started to missing from classes due to medical leave, the campus has no choice but to give us an early mid semester break. Then, couple days after started my holiday, I start to have ulcers on my tongue, lots of it (I have difficulties to speak, not to mention eating properly). Not long after that, I start to have flu, headache and sore throat.

But now, thank God, I am feeling much better. I will start my class again on this upcoming Thursday. I can’t wait to be swamped with works again.

This year has done nothing good to my blogging activity. I spend less and less time on blogging and more on doing researches, reading hundreds of journals and doing literature review. I sincerely feel sorry for my absence in blogging world. I am not sure whether you missed my presence or not, but I did miss you guys. I hope I will be more active after this.

By the way, I love love love Taylor Swift latest video; You Belong with Me. Her lyrics, songs and videos are very personal. And somehow, I feel connected in some ways or another with her life. That my friends, are a good artist.

Tweetaholic!

My choice for this week Music Monday is a little bit different. Have you heard about a song about Twitter called Tweetaholic? Well, it’s not an official song by Twitter, but I love it anyway. The song was made by Dave Ryder after being requested by Chris Pirillo. For a song that was made in two d,ays it’s quite an impressive song with catchy tunes and lyric. Anyway, Chris asked everyone else to create a music video for this song and uploaded it in YouTube. Few already responded to the video and I am sure there will be others who will join in. At this moment, I like this video the most:

403 Forbidden

Google seems to detect my IP as a virus or spyware and blocked all images from showing off on the screen. This is my blog looks like from my laptop:

As suggested, I already reinstalled, rescanned and rebooted my computer and ran it with few antiviruses such as Avira and AVG, and few spyware removers such as Ad-Aware, Spybot Search & Destroy and Spyware Terminator, only to fail. With lots of assignments and projects in it, I was more than horrified with the idea that there is a very dangerous spyware or virus in my laptop waiting for the right time to attack my hard disk.

Without my eyes – I am NOT blind, I just couldn’t see, I cannot function really well. Besides, it is indeed one of the six vital senses in human being. This is why I barely leave any comments last week. Especially those who posted (wonderful and beautiful) pictures accompanied their post. I prefer to keep quite rather than leave comments like, “Wow, it’s a beauty!” or “I love this picture! Nice one!” without actually look at the picture itself.

Anyway, after few days, some of my friends who are using the same broadband provider as mine (the unreliable - Celcom) told me that they were experiencing the same problem. Only then I know that there is nothing wrong with my computer -it blocks the IP address of my broadband provider. Unfortunately for me, I am not sure how and when they will do something about it. I blamed it on Malaysia bureaucracy. For this post, I am using my slow crawling college connection. Well, it’s better than nothing right? ;)

Have you experiencing this kind of problem before? Anyone knows how to solve it? Your helps are very much appreciated. Thank you for my constant readers who keep checking for my update.

I need a new tagline, oh and Merry Christmas

Finally I found the courage and time to start writing again. Sorry for missing in action for the last few days. I have been occupied with my new semester which annoyingly started last week. I don’t understand why they don’t want to wait until the next year before starting yet another mind, body and soul torturing semester.

With lots of public holidays (Yey to that) during the next few weeks before the New Year, I will most likely to spend most of my leisure time in front of my laptop watching the rerun of Angel (I love that show) and drafting and planning my next year resolutions. It's time to check my 2008 resolutions. Oh, and I will also rebranding Hot Shit Form Here for the next year.

1. A clearer concept
I categorized Hot Shit Form Here as a personal blog, but I always wonder whether I could venture into a larger concept apart from this concept. And if I could, what is the best concept that I could use? Change it to an information site? Or added a new concept as a complimentary of the old concept?


2. A new tagline?
I don’t think “The best shit is yet to be formed” was the best tagline ever invented. One may wonder what is this “best shit” I have been waiting for this whole time? Or when this shit will be formed? Honestly, I don’t have a solid answer to these questions. Perhaps I should change my tagline to fits my concept well.


3. A new header
I love to change my header. Period.

Friendship could be found everywhere. Your co-workers, your neighbors, your high school friends, drink buddies and the list getting longer. You could also bond a friendship through blogsphere, where the bloggers around the world share their ideas and personal life. So, my question is, have you ever meet your blogshere’s friends? What did you talk about? How your reaction towards the blogger? Of course, this is only relevant for those whom are not your friends in real life. That being said, do you mind share with us?

If you have to ask me what my stand of point in this matter is, I would say that first of all, I haven’t yet have the opportunity to meet any of my blogger friends. Secondly, I still haven’t decided whether or not it is a great idea to meet someone who may or may not know your life better than any of your real friends are – since you have blogged about most of your life here. Plus, I rather not am thinking on how they would react when they finally meet me. Surprise? (OMFG!) Excited? (OMG! OMG! - If it helps, I could jump and hug you while you are saying it). Anti climax? (Oh…)Happy (Yay?).

But the worst of all, I just afraid that I may not be the person that you pictured based on my writings. Fulfilling others expectation is always being my weakness. Sigh. Perhaps I should not think much about it. And when the time comes and I have the opportunity to meet one of my blogger friends, I will just being myself and speak my ideas rather than writing it on this piece of ‘shit’.

Blogging Nightmare

It feels like forever for me to get settle down. I already forgot how the 'fun' of house moving was. Anyway, I will try to online more this week. Back to blogging. Blogging is fun, especially when we are blogging about things that we love. Personally, I even have a feeling of anticipation for what other bloggers will blog about. Sometimes, you will bump into a surprise while others will come out as your expectation (not that it is a bad thing to happen though). By abiding to the expectation, we could find the safest way to describe our feeling and let it flows smoothly into others’ mind. That being said, blogging too will sometimes lead you into some terrible experiences or what I will call, blogging nightmare.

Thus, I would like to list out some of the costs for terrible experiences to other bloggers. Although it will be based on my own personal experiences, I am sure some of us had been in the same place as I am. This is the top five terrible experiences that will happen to many innocent and ignorant people out there. Please do not feel bad if your blog is in one of the categories listed, we just want to have a pleasant blogging experience here.

1. Music
Everyone loves music. Some prefer a softer balladic music, while others love the hard kicks of metal clashing, drum and guitar. For those who are putting a music player into your page, please make sure it is in the user play mode, which means that it would not play by itself. Just imagine while you are surfing the internet in the early hour, in your own room, enjoying the night (or morning), sound of its creatures and the tranquility that come along with it and then suddenly a loud banging sound come out from your computer. To make the problem worst, you are wearing a headphone at that time and your last heart attack was on the week before. Please turn your music to user control function, and if you don’t want to, just put a soothing sound or music. No one will doze off while reading your site, trust me (the music is the last factor that will cause the readers to doze off)

2. Font Size and Color
In case that you don’t know, human vision is limited (and yes, women have more parallel vision compared to men). How hard we are trying to concentrate to countless lines of words with an extremely contrast font’s color against its background, the eyes sometimes could not take it anymore. Please use a normal font size and not every word should be colorfully colored, please, we could read by ourselves, do not try to take away that ability from us.

3. Spamming
Chat box and comment box spamming are not that bad, but you do get annoyed to see the same person post several times, especially when the comments are about advertisement of their sites or goods.

4. Advertisement
I remember that I had joined a forum on this topic matter. Some said that the advertisement will divert your attention from the text, while others said that it was very annoying especially when you put an animated advertisement. In my own opinion, I think that there is nothing wrong with putting ads in your site. The reader would not certainly be going to read your post for a full 5 minutes (or at most, 10 minutes) straight. They want a few breaks in between those long texts. Not only you need to rest for 15 minutes for every hour of TV viewing, you need to rest your eyes too after a long read. The most annoying part of this is the pop up advertisement. You feel cheated as you are forced to click on their ads (and not getting pay for it) and some of them even direct the page to other site as soon as you click on it. Not a great way to great your reader, doesn’t it?

5. Unconstructive Comment
Sending hurtful comment as an anonymous is not okay. If you are going to say out loud your feeling, please be braved to face the consequences after that. A matured thinking should always be followed by a matured way of expressing it too. It would be wonderful to find some constructive comments about the related post from time to time.

I have a lot more to list out, but it will makes my post too long (one of the few nightmares for some). So, please tell me about your own bad experiences while blogging. I am sure we will have a good laugh off it and take extra caution next time. Have a nice blogging day!

A word derived after intensive viewing a documentary about American culture, entitled Gossip Girl (or in its short form, XOXO). It was said rumored that Gossip Girl is one of the Al Gore most talked project, to solve climate crisis. Although it was still remained unclear how the documentary will be much helpful in any way. OMFG! will be shown besides the blog name (only in my 'Addicted to' blog roll) when the blog has an update. This will be a new trend by fellow bloggers, even though their choice of words are not as green nor pink as mine OMFG!

Fatal Injuries

My laptop has suffer several fatal injuries. I have to send it to the clinic (*sobbing*). Not sure when it will get better. It's a good news though. At least I could concentrate more on my study. Why Hot Shit Form Here?

I have been asked a lot of questions why I chose to name my blog, HOT SHIT FORM HERE. Some of them even said that I try to mislead my readers. If you feel that I am misleading you, feel sorry for yourself. I thought we are not suppose to judge a blog by its title? Well, if you do, then it's means that my publicities and advertisements are working. It does has a catchy title right?

I chose Hot Shit Form Here because I want to talk about many simple things that happen daily in our life. Things that thousand of people already talk about. From a simple ingredients (such as tags, entertainment, etc), to more highly contained multivitamins and fibers (life, friendship, love, etc), it all happens here.

I am just providing the foods, my readers acting as the enzymes and my blog is the intestine. We will digest it together into more useful products. Even the most common thing when viewed differently will give a different perspective. This not means that I not hygienic nor it leads to unhealthy lifestyle, instead I try to develop it into something that is beneficial to us while enjoying its tasty features.

Keep Them Coming

Finally I have taken my Engineers In Society test this morning. I actually planned to post about friendship this Monday, but I prefer to publish this post first.

An award is something given to a person or a group of people to recognize excellence in a certain field; a certificate of excellence. I were given an award by one of my loyal readers, Bluedreamer27 (really, I don't have any problem with the typing error :) Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

I gave myself a thought whether or not to give other blogs my personal award, but I finally decided to get to know you guys well first before doing something special for my friends. A little longer wouldn't hurt anyone right? I have to admit, I'm still a newbie in this blogging matter. So, correct me if I offend any of you. Suggestions are also welcome.

This couple months, I have ventured into so many new blogs whether through my fellow or through a platform called Entrecard. Knowing Yourself

I am really tired back from lecturers 11 - 5 pm. Plus, I received a stupid email from my scholarship, Yayasan Sime Darby asking to meet with all their scholar at Kuala Lumpur on this 18th January. Hello, I am currently in Penang ma.. [like 4 hours driving] After all these holidays, my undone assignments and projects already out of hand. OK, so I still "have to" release my tension by surfing through Internet randomly. Just as a remainder, it always been a guilty pleasure for me to watch my times walk into the drain. So, when I am walking around the blogs, I came across these questionnaires to be posted in blogs. A fun thing to do if you don't have anything to do. How ironic. hurm (?)

WOW! My blog rated really doesn't belong to underage kids. No wonder my readers mostly 20s and above. [no heart feeling. I love old people too. lol]
