so EXCITED. i just downloaded my 1st favorite album of all time, which is VOICES by hall and oates and which was my fave when i think i was 6 or 7. it was definitely an album i would listen to on a tape on a blue mini boom box in my closet. i was fucking OBSESSED with it, esp. "hard to be in love with you," "united state" and "diddy doo wop." i am so happy at this moment that i cannot even explain it to you. i love this music and it's haunted my DREAMS.
i blame all of this madness on my father, michael p ober, for having an extensive record collection in the basement closet, along with a turn table and an 8 track player. tom petty: the point where my downfall into "life-has-no-meaning-without-rock-music" mentality, oh, and my 1st concert. david bowie, led zeppelin, pink floyd, john cougar, bad company, the who, rolling stones, robert palmer, etc. THANKS DAD. you gave me the most important genes i inherited.
